Police are investigating after discovering a man’s body in a pickup truck at a fast food restaurant at 65 Speedway Lane. Officers found the man dead inside the truck at the McDonald’s off Exit 23 of Interstate 81. Police believe the man was unhoused and previously lived in another state.

Fire Alarm Bill Goes To Govenor

A bill aimed at changing the way Tennessee schools respond to fire alarms has passed both chambers and has been sent to Gov. Bill Lee’s desk. The bill requires school districts to have a safety plan to determine whether it’s a fire alarm or an intruder, and how to respond to the threats.

Kids Busted

Three Johnson City juveniles were arrested and charged with felony vandalism after an investigation at Any Time Self Storage. The juveniles broke windows out of three vehicles and were issued citations for vandalism. They were released to their parents. They will appear in the Johnson City Juvenile Court.
