Operation Dry Water

With increased traffic over the July 4th weekend, safety is also an issue. Virginia’s Department of Wildlife Resources is participating the nationwide intiative ‘Operation Dry Water’ to encourage safety boating practices.Officers with law enforcement agencies will be doing safety checks including checking for life jackets, boater safety education for drivers, and monitoring alcohol use.
