The Washington County COmmission has approved a tax hike of 30 cents per 100-dollars of assessed value. The Thursday decision came on an 11-to-2 vote, rasiginthe property tax rate by more than 21 percent, to $1.71 per 100-dollars of assessed value. The owner of a 200-thousand dollar home will see their annual tax bill increase by 151 dollars. Many residents spoke out against the tax hike during the Thursday meeting.n The two commissioners voting against were Kenneth Huffine and Josh Edens.
