WashCo BOE Approves Security Upgrades

The Washignton County school board has given it’s stamp of approval for security entry vestibules at Daniel Boone and David Crockett High Schools. The vestibules will serve as holding areas before visitors can gain entry to the building. A knoxville company called Merit Construction won the bid. Superintendent Jerry Boyd said the security improvements were identified as necessary through the annual safety assessment done by the district. Eventually, every school in the county will get the upgrade.
