Proposed changes to Johnson City’s charter ordinance will go before voters in August. Thursday night, the city commission appropved four proposals. One would move the city elections from November to August to coincide withj county elections. School board contests would also be moved from August to March. The second proposal calls for a reduction in the number of required readings for ordinances to become law.
