The Kingsport senior center is celebrating its 5000th member. In a prepared statement Wednesday, the senior center said it’s the largest active roster in its history and the milestone did not come without a lot of hard work. Even through the pandemic, director Shirley Buchanan says the worked hard to reach out and keep in contact with the membership. The Kingsport Senior Center welcomes members ages 50 and older and offers a variety of activities and classes, including crafts, sports, fitness, and cooking.
