It appears the Sean Williams escape trial will get underway in six weeks. On Tuesday, a judge denied Wiliams’s lawyers request for an extension, but one aspect of the ruling may cause further delays. Williams reportedlky has given a letter to the judge apparently related to his dissastisfaction with his defense attorney. Joseph McAfee is already thie third appointed lawyer to serve Williams since he was re-captured after an escape last May. The judge also denied a request to move the trial out of Greeneville due to intense media exposure.
