Around 150 volunteers gathered on Saturday, despite the rainy weather, to take part in the 2nd annual Johnson City Beautification Day. ETSU Civic and Leadership Engagement Coordinator Nathan Farnor said volunteers even came from outside Johnson City. Volunteers were split into about 15 small groups and tackled the trash in several parts of the city including downtown, Founders Park and the Tweetsie Trail. Cigarette butts, cans, bottles and even some half-eaten lunches were picked up by the volunteers.
