Your grocery bill might see some relief if a bill makes it’s way through the Tennessee statehouse. Democratic lawmakers have proposed a bill to prohibit state and local governments from taxing groceries. The bill’s sponsor, Senator Charklene Oliver, says 28 states currently do this. The bill was not recieved well in the Senate Finance, Ways, and Means Revenue Subcommittee, however.
