A new court document in a lawsuit against Johnson City Police alleges department members accepted bribes and kickbacks to protect former businessman Sean Williams. The new allegations, filed in court this week, claim “corrupt use of search warrants and other unlawful collection efforts” to get money from Williams. Specifically, the plaintiffs claim Williams’ former company Glass and COncrete Contracting, paid JCPD in an extortion scheme, and that poclie kept much of the half million dollars cash that was seized during a search warrant of a Williams business safe in 2020.
