Milligan University in Elizabethton has received a 1 million dollar donation from Ballad Health Systems. On Wednesday, the university announced plans to add a high fidelity simulation lab to advance clinical education for health sciences. Graduates of the program will be able to fill critical gaps in the healthcare worker pipeline, Milligan says. The new lab will include patient simulators, medical equipment and other IT equipment to help with nursing, physician assistants, and occupational therapy students.
