Greene County has a new coffee house-style monthly meeting for veterans and their family members. The first meeting of the Eastern Tennessee Veterans Coffee House will be Wednesday, Oct. 4, 9-11 a.m., at the Farmer’s Daughter Restaurant in Chuckey. Future meetings of the Coffee House will also be held there.Gerry Wright, 1st Sgt. (Ret.), a veteran who served with the 19th Combat Engineers in Vietnam, is organizing the coffee house meetings.
