It’s a promotion for Greeneville’s interim police chief now being named the permanent police chief.Police Chief Steven Spano has served in the interim role since former chief Tim Ward retired in April.Spano starting working for the Greeneville Police Dept. in 1994 as an auxiliary officer. He worked a few years for the Tusculum PD before becoming a full-time patrol officer in Greeneville in 1997.
