The Town of Mount Carmel Board of Mayor and Alderman voted to raise its property tax rate by $.20.The Board of Mayor and Alderman met on May 25 to vote on an ordinance to pass the 2023-24 budget with an increase.With the $.20 increase, the tax rate will change to $1.5897 per $100 of assessed value and will bring in an additional $190,463.
