Electric transmission upgrades are coming to Washington and Smyth counties in Virginia. So, Appalachian Power hosted an open house Tuesday night seeking community input on route options to rebuild the electric transmission line. The 27-mile project for Washington and Smyth counties is an upgrade to the transmission system as part of the “Saltville- Wolf Hills” transmission line rebuild project.
