According to Ryan Holt, chief of the Greene County Volunteer Firefighter Association filling the ranks of the 15 volunteer departments in Greene County remains an ongoing challenge.New members are encouraged to join each of Greene County’s volunteer fire departments. Everyone is welcome, including those who may not be able to respond to emergency calls but can perform other necessary duties to keep a department running.
