With land donated by Cassidy Methodist Church, the Sullivan County Volunteer Fire Department has been working on a new substation for several years that will reduce response times.Ground is now broken for the new Indian Springs substation. The building will be 4,000 square feet and have two bays and a community room, along with sleeping quarters for the volunteers.
