In 2021, there were nearly 1,200 crashes reported in Bristol, Tennessee according to the Bristol, Tennessee Police Department (BTPD). The department says it’s 32 percent increase to the previous three year average.The BTPD is looking to reduce the number of crashes by increasing traffic enforcement. The department says three thing it’s hoping to crack down on, speeding, seatbelt violations, and the hands-free law.
