With the snow comes preparations and the Tennessee Department of Transportation is ready for the winter weather.They say they are ready to clear roadways of the ice and snow.Wednesday was spent getting plows and brine trucks ready to dispatch, with crews pre-treating the state routes and interstates.Officials are set to use more than 1.5 million gallons of the salt mixture, and it’s all to make sure the roads are open. They also use 200,000 tons of salt statewide.
