A pre-Christmas gift. With one of the most traveled holidays of the year approaching, there’s at least one thing Tennessee drivers won’t have to worry about this Thanksgiving. The Tennessee Department of Transportation plans to halt all lane closures on interstates and state highways for holiday travel.As crews anticipate higher traffic volumes across the state, all construction-related lane closures will be stopped beginning at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 24 through midnight on Sunday, Nov. 28.
