A Wise County veteran is receiving a special honor decades after he was killed in action.Officials have dedicated the Kent Junction Bridge located in West Norton on Business 23 Park Avenue NW/Kent Junction Road in honor of Sgt. Alfred J. Amburgey.Amburgey was killed in action on August 25, 1966.He was a native of the Thacker’s Branch community of Wise County.
