Text-To-911

Wireless customers in Bristol, Virginia, can now use text-to-911, the Bristol Virginia Police Department announced Wednesday.Texts can be up to 140 characters and should only be used in an emergency when calling 911 is not possible. This would include if the caller is deaf, hard-of-hearing, speech impaired, or when speaking aloud would put the caller in danger.You are still instructed to NOT text and drive.
