The Elizabethton Police Department is preparing to move into its new home. The move will start Tuesday, March 16 when construction of the new facility is expected to be complete.The new building at 511 East F Street is beside the existing one. During this time of transition, telephones and computers must be moved and may be sporadically offline.Emergency calls to 911, dispatch, field operations and on-duty officers will not be affected.Chief Jason Shaw says this new building is going to improve the department.
