The Bristol, Tennessee Fire Department held a hose uncoupling ceremony Tuesday to mark the official opening of the newly constructed Fire Station 2. The new facility replaces the old station 2 and includes several upgrades including safety measures that protect firefighters from deadly cancer-causing materials. A “Hose Uncoupling” is a fire service tradition similar to a ribbon cutting ceremony.
