Golf cart manufacturer MD Carts has annoucned it will expand it’s business in Johnson City, adding about 150 jobs to the economy. MC Carts, located on Eddie Williams Road says it will expand at the former QEP Harris Flooring site. Right now, MD Carts employs about 50 people, but will add an automated line with a massive state grant. Employment will grow to 200 by the end of next year and 225 within five years, according to owner David Hatley. Hatley also owns hot tub maker LPI.
