The city of Kingsport is taking entried for the annual storm drain art contest. The city’s stormwater department and Kingsport Cultural Arts are looking for local artists to hand-paint five storm drains across the city. The goal of the project is to raise awareness about the importance of protecting rivers, streams, and aquatic wildlife. Winners will be selected later in July and painting is expected to begin early September.
