The Little League organization in Blountville needs a new home. Sullivan County is moving forward with plans to turn the existing Little League ball field into a packing facility for recyclables. Group Spokesperson Bernie Webb says he was notofied of the change just last week, even after plans had been made to play this fall’s season with no changes. Demolition of the park has already started. Eventually, Little League will have new fields built behind the former Bluntville Middle and Elemnatry Schools, but they won’t be done in time for this fall’s season.
