Saturday marks three years since ther disappearance of Summer Wells. Wells was just five years old when she vanished from her home in the Beech Creek community of Hawkins County. An active Amber Alert has remained in effect for Wells since it was issued nearly three years ago. The last update from law enforcement in the case – came in June of 2023, when the TBO rleeased a new age-processed photo of Wells. On Friday, TBI agent Josh Melton said they have never determined if Wells was abducted or not.
