The Greene County Commission has approved regulating short-term rentals like AirBnB and VRBO, property owners will be required to get permits to host on those platforms. The county said the move is needed in order to enforce code inspections and parking regulations after receiving numerous complaints about short-term rental properties. At this point, the move only applies to short-term rental properties in unincorporated areas of the county, so homes within cities like Greebeville and Moseheim will not apply.
