A solar farn proposal near ABingdon is drawing lots of scrutiny. A firm called Catalust Energy Partners hosted a twon hall meeting at John S. Battle High School on thursday, giving residents a chance to ask questions about the proposed solar power facility on as much as 2-thousand acres of land off Wyndale Road. If completed, the facility would generate as much as 262 megawatts of electricity and provide a 23 million dollar boost to the Washignton County economy over 35 years.
