Brsitol Poclie responded to Bristol Regional Medical Center Wednesday aftyer a gun was discharged inside the facility. A spokesperson from the city said there was no active threat to the public. Ballad Health issued a statement that said the gun was discharged by a patient during a “security incident.” Ballad said there was never any active shooter threat, but that a lockdown was issued as a precaution. Ballad said only that the security threat had been “neutralized.”
