Washignton County property owners should probably be prepared for some sticker shock. Reappraisal notices are going out April 19th and 20th, and the county is warning property owners that some appraisals have risen quite significantly. Assessor Robbie McGuire told WJHL TV that the average increase in Washignton County was more than 54 percent. This is the first reappraisal since 2019. The increased values are important because that’s what the county bases your property tax on.
