Warriors’ Path State Park Ranger Marty Silver was celebrated on Wednesday at Hunter Elementary School in Carter County. Students, faculty and staff at Hunter Elementary gave Silver thank you cards and a small cake to thank him for all the years he’s visited the school. Silver has been bringing nature to area schools for around 45 years. Wednesday marked Silver’s last visit to the school. Silver isn’t retiring and will continue to visit area schools. Hunter Elementary will be visited by a different local park ranger.
