A massive litter problem in johnson County. Mayor Larry Potter says six tons of lotter has been collected over the past few months. Potter says the litter problem has got to stop. In one month, Litter Control Officer Sandy Hammons has collected as much as 5600 pounds… bag after bag of food wrappers, pizza boxes, fast food cups, beer bottles, plastic bottles… you name it, she says. Part of the problem, the mayor says the county recently eliminated it’s prison help due to short staffing.
