A VA man was charged with one felony count of first-degree murder in connection with a fatal fire in Wise County in February 2023. Curtis D. Holbrook, was indicted by a Wise County grand jury on one felony count of first-degree murder and one felony count of arson of an occupied dwelling. VSP identified the victim who died in the fire as Michael D. Woodward, 65.
