The US Postal Service will lease a building across from Johnson City Hall in order to move it’s distribution and ocllection center. USPS Spokespersonm Evelina Ramirez told WJHL TV on Thursday that they are reviewing alternative locations for the retail operation. The site at 128 Roweland Drive if the former home of Kennemetal Corporation, which closed in 2021. Up until now, the post office has been leasing a building at 530 East Main Street from Johnson City, using it as both it’s retail and distribution center.
