52 year-old Thomas Farmer of Johnson City, has been charged with murder in connection to a 2023 overdose death in Carter County. Farmer was arrested by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office and indicted on charges of second-degree murder and sale of schedule II drugs. The man died from a fentanyl overdose, and Farmer was found to have purchased the drugs.
