A Sullivan County corrections officer is being credited with stopping an armed robbery at a gas station in Bristol. Sergeant Samantha Davis was on her way to work on March 4th when she decided to stop for some caffeine. As she went inside the store, she came face to face with a man attempting to rob the Scotchman gas station on West State Street in Bristol. The man was fighting with the female clerk. Davis was able to get 28 year old Brandon Lowe in handcuffs before police arrived.
