Cherokee National Forest officials plan two prescribed fires in Washington and Johnson County. The fires are expected to burn areas Near Erwin, southwest of the Nolichucky River, along Rich Mountain Road. And, on the Northwest side of Watauga Lake near Sink Mountain Boat Ramp Rd. Heavy smoke may be seen at times over the next few days.
