A natural gas line in Johnson City caused road closures and evacuations near East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Tuesday Afternoon. City crews worked to locate the exact location of the leak, which affected McDonald’s and the BP gas station on University Parkway. Crews blocked off the area. The university issued an alert, but stated that there was no threat to campus.
