Greeneville Police are looking into a case where an ATM was broken into, but the thieves were unable to make off with any loot. Police responded to the Food City on Asheville Highway early Sunday when a witness called 911 reporting two men in a white truck hooked up chains to the ATM door and yanked it completely off it’s concrete slab. A second witness told dispatchers the men were wearing ski masks over their faces. They were unable to get the cash door open, so they jumped into a white car to get away, leaving the stolen pickup at the scene.
