The Town of Jonesborough has filed a motion asking a federal judge to throw out five of eight claims against it in a lawsuit filed by Tennessee Hills Distillery. Tennessee Hills sued the town in late January over disputes surrounding parking and outdoor dining. The town’s lawyers argue that the claims belong in state court, and that the lawsuit doesn’t provide fair notice of any alleged violations of Tennessee Hills’ First Amendment rights or of due process.
