A man from Chuckey, has been charged with evading arrest and reckless driving after refusing to stop for police in Greene County. The incident occurred when an officer attempted a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Equinox near West Andrew Johnson Highway/Baileyton Access for a switched tag, but the driver, Barton Smith, disregarded the officer and continued at a higher speed. Smith was taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
