The sheriff inbristol, Virginia has been honored with a prestigious award. Sheriff Tyrone Foster has received the Strong Men and Woman of Virginia Award through the Domonion Energy Charitable Foundation and the Library of Virginia. The award recognizes and honors African American business and community leaders who have overcome obstacles to make significant impacts in the community. Foster has also served on the Bristol, Virginia school board and was once president of the Virginia School Boards Association.
