Assistant Police Chief Steve Hixson of the Greeneville Police Department has been acquitted of a domestic violence charge by a Greene County Jury. The verdict reaffirms Hixson’s innocence and highlights the importance of a fair judicial system in addressing misconduct allegations. Hixson was previously charged with assaulting a family member in December 2022. As of Thursday, Hixson has been placed back on full duty status as an officer with the GPD.
