In another case, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Donald W. Whitaker Jr., 50. When Deputies conducted a routine traffic stop for excessive speed on Riverview Drive they found Whitaker did not have a valid driver’s license. A search of the vehicle revealed cut straws with a powder residue inside and a pill bottle containing 35 blue pills that Whitaker claimed to be fentanyl. The pills were sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab for positive identification.
