The Washington County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a car thief wanted by the Johnson City Police Department after a pursuit. Deputies assisted in locating a stolen 2006 Toyota Avalon in Cash Hollow Road and attempted a traffic stop. Charles Jordan, 55, was charged with two counts of evading arrest after abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot. He was found hiding in the trunk of another vehicle and taken into custody.
