The snowy weather in the region caused the cancellation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day events in Kingsport and Johnson City on Monday. Johnson City Parks and Recreation cancelled all city-run MLK-themed events due to the weather. Kingsport’s 24th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Parade has been postponed, but no make up date has been announced.
