(JOHNSON CITY) – During their meeting with local legislators, the Johnson City Schools Board of Education and district staff request…bills be considered, regarding recurring school security funding…and limiting how much county trustees can charge for processing sales tax education funds.
Thanks to two years of state funding for school security improvements, Johnson City Schools have been able to add and increase safety measures through the district. Many of these security measures come with recurring costs, and the district asked local legislators to consider a bill that would ensure recurring state funding for school security.
