Greene County Opioid Funds

The Greene County Commissioners have approved a measure to authorize the county’s recovery court to apply for more opioid abatement council grant funds. The county has already received about 100-thousand dollars from the council, with further funding availabel through a competitive bidding process. The Opioid Abatement Council was created by the Tennessee General Assembly to manage the disbursement of proceeds from lawsuits brought by the State of Tennessee dealing with opioid manufacturing and distribution.
